U.S. Capitol Police arrested a Virginia gentleman who was making an attempt to pass as a result of a law enforcement checkpoint in Washington, DC, Friday, when carrying bogus inauguration credentials, a loaded firearm, and 500 rounds of ammo.

While talking with Police at the checkpoint all-around 6:30 PM, Wesley Allen Beeler admitted to carrying a loaded Glock with 17 rounds of ammunition including one particular in the chamber. On top of that, officers later on observed 509 rounds of ammunition, shotgun shells, and a magazine for the handgun.
Beeler was arrested on prices of an unregistered firearm and possession of unregistered ammunition. His arrest arrives just after the violent riot at the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6th. Right after the riot, FBI Director Christopher Wray claimed his agency is planning for the possibility of extra violence from ring-wing extremists in the future:
We are seeing an in depth volume of relating to on the net chatter, I guess that’s the most effective way I would explain it, about a number of gatherings surrounding the inauguration. And alongside one another with our partners, we consider all those threats and what form of methods to deploy in opposition to them. Suitable now, we are monitoring calls for probable armed protest and exercise foremost up to the inauguration.
President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration is scheduled for January 20th.
